San Carlos City is located at the northern tip of Negros Occidental. It is a second class city with population of 129,809 people. The city has 40 kilometers coastline and has its own port which is 242.5 meters wide. The port area was reclaimed last 1998 as part of expansion of Philippine Ports Authority. San Carlos City is the cross road of some other cities like Cebu, Dumaguete and Bacolod.
What to see in San Carlos City

Alinsyawan falls can be reached through motorcycle or private vehicle. It took approximately 35 min up to one hour to arrive at Sitio Aglolo-od, Brgy Palampas, San Carlos City where this falls is located. The cascading cool water and the trees that surround it make the place so fresh.
San Carlos Hills
Similar to Bohol, San Carlos has its own version of chocolate hills. This beautiful scenery can be viewed along the highway in Barangay Prosperedad about half an hour ride from the city proper.

Similar to Banaue Rice Terraces, Codcod Rice terraces is located at the foot of Kanla-on Volcano. Rice and other agricultural products were planted at the terraces that look like a stairway.
